Share the Luv with Luv Michael’s Originola Granola

This post is a review of Luv Michael’s Originola Granola. I was given a free sample of their granola in exchange for my honest review. All comments and opinions are my own.

If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen me post about enjoying some Originola Granola from Luv Michael. I initially was just going to try a couple bites but I ended up eating nearly half the package because it was good – I write more about that below.

Luv Michael’s Mission
Luv Michael’s mission is to provide meaningful vocational training for the autistic population and to produce exceptional gluten-free and natural products.

Luv Michael educates, trains and employs individuals with autism. Every bag of Luv Michael Originola Granola is hand mixed in small batches and packed with LUV by individuals with autism.

Luv That!
Most of you know I am doing a double concentration in Psychology and Sociology and I am always excited about people and companies that are doing good for others. Especially when it comes to people that may be disabled, disadvantaged and so on. I love that Luv Michael gives opportunities to the Autistic Community. It really is a beautiful thing.

Back to the granola…

Let me just tell you that this granola was the most delicious granola that I have ever had in my life – and trust me – I have tried a lot of granola. I love granola. I eat it plain, I eat it mixed in yogurt, I eat it with milk and so on. This granola was goooooooooood.

I tried Luv Michael’s Originola Granola dry and straight out of the package. It was crunchy – but chewy, full of flavor and just sweet enough to make me feel like I was indulging on a sweet treat. I loved the cranberries and raisins mixed with the oats and the lovely hint of maple and vanilla. I almost forgot I was eating granola and thought I was eating a cookie.

I would buy this granola by the pounds and give it away as gifts to friends and family members as well. That is how much I enjoyed this granola. If you love granola like I love granola I promise you that you will not only enjoy it – you will come back for more again and again.

Naturel Commodity Vitamin C Serum + Hyaluronic Acid Review

I received a bottle of Naturel Commodity Vitamin C Serum at a discounted price in exchange for an honest product review. All opinions are my own. This post includes affiliate links and I may receive a small commission if you decide to purchase this product.

Naturel Commodity Vitamin C Serum Hyaluronic Acid Review

Naturel Commodity Vitamin C Serum is a powerful youth serum meant for women and men of all ages that enjoy the benefits of anti-aging products. This serum is meant to be used after washing your face and before applying your moisturizer (I prefer using one with an SPF.) The company recommends that you use this serum twice a day (morning and evening) for the best results.

Naturel Commodity Vitamin C Serum has the following ingredients meant to promote anti aging by making your skin look and feel younger:

  • 20% Vitamin C: prevents and treats UV-induced photodamage, helps in collagen synthesis, helps brighten skin
  • 11% Hyaluronic Acid: humectant which helps to prevent moisture loss
  • Aloe Vera: anti-inflammatory, helps heal damaged skin

When I first used Naturel Commodity Vitamin C Serum I giggled a little because the product is actually orange (like the lovely oranges that are full of Vitamin C). Not to worry – it doesn’t make your skin orange or anything. Due to the color I was expecting an orange/citrus scent, however, it has a very light scent – kind of a generic skin oil scent.

I really liked that it was lightweight and not too sticky – most products with Vitamin C that I have tried are super sticky. Also, it absorbed fairly quickly so I was able to put my moisturizer on fairly quickly on days that I was in a hurry.

What I also liked was the packing – the silver with white and orange is really pretty and it gives it a high end look. Also the airless pump is one of my favorites because you have better control of how much product comes out. I only used 1-3 pumps for my entire face and neck (don’t forget your neck ladies!)

Here are the main benefits of using Naturel Commodity Vitamin C Super Youth Serum:

  • Lifts and firms
  • Eliminates lines and wrinkles
  • Brightens skin
  • Removes dark circles
  • Stimulates collagen production

If you are a fan of serums, you would probably enjoy using Naturel Commodity Vitamin C Serum. It helped to brighten and firm my skin. I have dark spots and discoloration on my face and this super youth serum did lighten some of it. My neck looks significantly smoother with less lines and I do feel like my face in general looks firmer than when I first started using the product.

Are you a fan of anti-aging products? Have you tried Naturel Commodity Vitamin C Serum? Let me know in the comments.

Valentia True Glow Eye Cream Review

I received a bottle of Valentia True Glow Eye Cream at a discounted price in exchange for an honest product review. All opinions are my own. This post includes affiliate links and I may receive a small commission if you decide to purchase this product.

My friends and family have teased me since I was in my late teens because I am off and on obsessed about skin care [and in my late teens/early 20’s scared to death of getting wrinkles]. I have since calmed down with the obsession but I do feel having a skin care routine is important. If you take care of your skin, you will be so happy with the results for years (and even decades if we are being honest) to come.

I have to be honest, I haven’t been taking great care of my skin lately and for 2016 I plan on really stepping up my game. I want to have smooth, soft skin for as long as I can – great skin care will help with that.

For me, one issue I have had is dark circles and tiny wrinkles under my eyes from late nights (in the past it was insomnia, now it is blogging and working on business ideas.) [Side note: I am trying to do better on the sleeping thing as well.]

Well I recently came across Valentia True Glow Eye Cream and I think that this may be one of my favorite products at the moment. I really noticed a different in the firmness of the skin under my eyes and I do see a slight change in the pigment under them as well.

Valentia True Glow Eye Cream is specially formulated for your the skin under your eyes, however you can also use it on other parts of your face. I have not used it on other parts of my face, however, I think if it may work on your neck as far as skin tightening goes.

I really liked that just one pump gave enough product for both eyes. I always use my pinky finger to apply anything under my eyes. Just put a little product on the tip of your finger, make a few dots and dab until it is absorbed in.

My first time using it I could instantly feel it working on firming up they under eye area. Even though it comes out as almost a mustard color it absorbed into my skin and didn’t leave any strange color.

Valentia True Glow Eye Cream

As I mentioned above – I noticed a slight lightening of the dark circles under my eyes and I think if I am consistent it will be even better in a month or so. This really makes me happy because it is one of the reasons I don’t like to take pictures – you can see the shadows!

So far I am really enjoying Valentia True Glow Eye Cream and I would recommend it to anyone that has issues with the skin under their eyes. I will make sure to let y’all know the final results once I finish up this bottle.

Do you have any issues or concerns about the skin under your eyes? Have you tried Valentia True Glow Eye Cream? What are your thoughts on this product?

How to Automate Social Media Posts Using Postcron

Save Time by Automating Social Media Posts
If you are like most people that use the internet you probably use social media in some shape or form. Whether you have a personal account, business account, or both you probably have at least a Facebook or Twitter page. You may also have a Google+, Linkedin or Pinterest page if that is your thing. If you are more than a casual social media user and want to save time, increase your traffic and/or following as well as engage your audience – this post is for you.

Social media management can be time consuming – especially for businesses or brands that need to keep their audience engaged. When products launch or relevant information must be shared social media is the perfect place to share. Unfortunately the time it takes to create social media posts and publish them can usually be spent doing other more important tasks such as brainstorming or creating new content. And often social media posts need to be posted at specific dates and times – nobody wants to have to run to their desk on Monday morning at 8:45 to make sure that a social media post is ready for posting at 9:00am. Scheduling posts ahead of time saves a lot of worry and time.

When it comes to social media management using an auto scheduler makes so much sense. With a social media scheduler you can schedule social media posts to go live at the date and time you would like them to. With a social media scheduler you can also schedule social media posts leading up to a product launch, contest or anything else and create a buzz surrounding it which can often lead to more purchases and audience engagement. Insert Postcron.

Postcron helps you to schedule your posts for social media. Whether you are an individual or a business/brand, you can use Postcron to schedule social media posts on the following platforms:

+ Facebook
+ Twitter
+ Linkedin

+ Pinterest

How I use Postcron

I use Postcron mainly for Facebook and Twitter, however, I am going to start using it for the other platforms that are available as well. I am super excited that they recently added the option to schedule pins to Pinterest because that will save me a lot of time. If I log onto Pinterest I know I will be on there for awhile pinning my little heart out. Scheduling through Postcron while I am in work mode will allow me to get things done without getting distracted.

What I really like about Postcron is that not only can you pick a specific date and time you would like to schedule your social media posts as you create them – you also have the option to use predefined publishing times. By using predefined publishing times you can make sure that your social media posts always post on the days/times that you would like to post them. This saves a lot of time if you do not need something posted on a specific date and time but would like to share it on your social media profile. I usually like to schedule posts about 2-3 times a week depending on what is going on.

Setting up your account

When you go to the Postcron page you can login using either your Twitter, Facebook or Google+ Account. You can then connect all your other social media accounts to that particular profile. I have my personal Facebook (and the ones for my websites) connected as well as the different Twitter accounts that I manage. With the paid plans that they have available you can also have team members (amount of team members depents on the plan that you choose) but if you just want to try Postcron out you can use the free version and you still get a lot of great features.

Scheduling your first social media post

You can choose to schedule a social media post to one or more of the platforms that you have connected to your account. So say you are having a product launch and want to let people on Twitter and on Facebook know at the same time. You can choose those two accounts and create the social media post – these will post at the time that you schedule them. If you want to schedule the post on Twitter to go out at a certain time and the one to Facebook to go out at another time you can do that as well. It is super easy to create the posts and schedule them to fit your needs.

Book Review: Satellite, The Satellite Trilogy Part I by Lee Davidson

This eBook was given to me in exchange for an honest book review of it on my blog. This review is my honest opinion of the book and I was in no way compensated in exchange for a positive review. Some of the links below may contain affiliate links in which I may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you if you decide to purchase the book.
Book: Satellite, The Satellite Trilogy Part I
Author: Lee Davidson

Satellite Triology Lee DavidsonThe beginning of this story was a slow read, however, once I got into it I really enjoyed it. The more that I read, the deeper that it pulled me in. It speaks from the view of a man in the afterlife and uncovers the love and longing that he has for the woman that he left behind. He wants so much to live on in human form and is not concerned about the consequences he may face if he attempts to connect with her. As a Satellite or Guardian Angel, he is given responsibilities and he has little to no concern towards the consequences he may face if he ignores them. There is a major plot twist that I didn’t really see coming and it was a nice surprise.

As far as characters go, I really liked them – even the stubborn main character, Grant, who is a mans-man. He is not very in touch with his feelings and I think I would have liked him a lot more if he was. I feel like his feelings were being buried and if they had been revealed I would have probably been in tears after reading this book.

I enjoyed the plot, however, I do think that it was missing information about actually being a Satellite. I am not sure if the other books cover this but I think that there was some potential for a great story (within the story) about the paranormal world that Grant is thrust into. More background information about how they came to be and their history would have been really exciting to read about.

The ending really left me wanting more and I am very interested in reading the next book in the trilogy. I would love to see what happens next to Grant and the other characters. Also, I am hoping that the next book digs a bit deeper into the history of the Satellites. After reading Satellite, I really wanted to watch Ghost because it has that same feeling you get when the two lovers in the film want to be connected again and will do just about anything to do so. This book is a perfect read for a Friday night when you want to curl up and enjoy some hot tea.

Mystic Divine Nourishing Shampoo Review

Mystic Divine Nourishing Shampoo

I love to share about products that I use and I was recently given a bottle of
Mystic Divine Nourishing Shampoo as a gift and since I loved it so much I thought I would share my experience by writing a product review about my experience with it.

At the moment my hair is in a transitioning stage – half natural and half chemically straightened – so it is important that I take care of it to prevent breakage. Even though I am a recovering product junkie, I only have a handful of products that I actually use in rotation. But since I got this as a gift and it seemed like something I might like, I decided to go ahead and try it out.

Side note: I normally do not use shampoo often – I do the no-poo method when I wash my hair and only use shampoo a couple of times a month. The reason I do the no-poo method is because my hair flourished once I stopped using shampoo as frequently. Most shampoos would dry out my hair and I believe they were part of the reason my hair was dry and brittle.

According to the bottle, Mystic Divine Nourishing Shampoo is derived from a unique blend of exotic Argan and Monoi Oils to gently cleanse and strengthen dry damaged hair, enahancing shine and smoothness. I have never used any products with Argan Oil in it but I hear that has recently became extremely popular in the beauty world. I liked the description of what it does so I was really excited to try it.

I normally like to wash my hair in the day time because I like to give it the full day to dry. This also gives me time to see how my hair is reacting to a product before I lay down to sleep. So on the day I initially tried
Mystic Divine Nourishing Shampoo I did my normal shower routine and whipped out the bottle to test it out.

What I really liked about the bottle – besides the pretty colors and exotic look – was that it is a pump. I just feel like having a pump makes things so much easier because you can control how much product you are using. I have a lot of hair so I use a lot of product but if I am using the product to mix with something else having a pump is usually easier to manage than regular bottles that you pour out.

Since I have a lot of hair I ended up using about 4 pumps to get enough product to saturate my roots. I usually wash my roots and as I am rinsing I stop and let the suds slide down the rest of my hair and wash the ends. Your roots are usually what needs the most cleansing because of built up oils and any other particles.
Mystic Divine Nourishing Shampoo
didn’t suds up like some shampoo’s do, but I actually prefer that. It created a little bit of suds and it didn’t feel like it was drying out my hair at all. Also, the scent was lovely – sweet but not overpowering. It has that exotic nut oil scent to it.

As I rinsed the product out my hair was feeling smooth and soft – something I look for when I do use a shampoo. Some people like that “squeaky clean” feeling – I don’t – when it feels like that I feel like my hair lost all of its natural oils and moisture. It instantly feels dry to me. I liked that my hair felt clean but still soft and healthy.

Throughout the day I kept sniffing my hair. The scent was really nice and soft, not overpowering at all. I also kept touching my hair because as it dried it remained soft, manageable and smooth to the touch. I have heard that some products that contain oils leave a residue. With this product my hair wasn’t dry or brittle and it also did not have any oily residue.

Overall I really liked this shampoo and would definitely recommend it to others. As far as it strengthening my hair, my hair does not feel weak or brittle after using it several times. I would definitely say that it at does help to keep my hair safe from breakage. In the meantime, I still have about half a bottle left and will be using all of it up. I have added this to my favorite shampoo list and will purchase it for myself in the future.

P.S. I also received one other product from this line but I have not used it yet. Once I do I will let y’all what my experience with it is.

What products do you use with Argan Oil in them?
Have you tried this brand before?
What is your favorite shampoo?
